How to book your stay.

Five quick steps. Works the same whether you're booking boarding, daycare, grooming, training, or cat boarding.

    Create your profile

    All bookings start with a Ruffin Inn customer profile. It's quick — your information is saved so future stays only take a few taps.

    Open the booking portal

    Request your dates and service

    Pick your service — Boarding, Daycare, Grooming, Training, or Cat Boarding — and the dates you need. If we're fully booked, the portal will let you know immediately so you can pick another date.

  3. 3

    Deposit (if requested)

    Boarding requests may include a 15% deposit to confirm the booking. The deposit holds your suite and helps us staff appropriately. Cancellations more than two weeks before your stay are fully refunded.

    Wait for confirmation

    Our team reviews each request and sends a confirmation email with your assigned lodging and any notes about your stay. Most requests are confirmed within one business day.

  5. 5

    Submit immunization records

    We need current Rabies, DHPP (or FVRCP for cats), and Bordetella records on file before check-in. Two ways to submit:

    • Upload directly to your profile in the portal — fastest, no paper
    • Bring a printed copy from your vet at drop-off

Vaccination requirements by service

Dog Boarding

Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella. Bordetella must be administered 7+ days before the first stay.

Dog Daycare

Same as boarding. New daycare dogs do a short orientation visit so we can match them to the right play group.

Cat Boarding

Rabies and FVRCP current. Outdoor cats must be flea-free at drop-off.

Grooming

Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella — same requirements as boarding and daycare.

Training

Puppies can start at 12 weeks with at least one round of vaccinations. Same Rabies/DHPP/Bordetella once eligible.

  • Nap time (no drop-off or pickup): noon–2 PM daily
